What is West Coast Swing?

West Coast Swing is a fun, modern partner dance that originated from Lindy Hop in the 1960s, and is characterized by its smooth, relaxed style and improvisational nature. It's the dance of your life!

Why should you learn West Coast Swing?

Music

Unlike other partner dances, West Coast Swing can be danced to almost any music genre.

Freedom

In West Coast Swing, there is a lot of freedom to express yourself, regardless of the role you're dancing. It is accessible to everyone, regardless of your age, flexibility or stature.

West Coast Swing is a conversation.

It allows partners to build off each other's ideas and create some truly magical moments.

How can you start ?

If you're just starting out with this dance, check out our Beginners section.

We offer multiple levels of group classes in Den Haag, ranging from beginners (we call them Curious Westies) to dancers who have been dancing for a couple of years, are active in international West Coast Swing communities and travel regularly to events (we call them Seasoned Westies).

Depending on your level and dancing experience, one of these classes is right for you!
