Fast-Track - Curious Westie Part 1

Description:

Have you heard about West Coast Swing?

West Coast Swing is a fun, modern partner dance that originated from Lindy Hop in the 1960s, and is characterized by its smooth, relaxed style and improvisational nature.

Join the West Coast Swing Fast-Track workshops in Den Haag! We will cover the material of the Curious Westie Part 1 block, so please read the details and date/time carefully.

Details:

  • These classes are designed for students who have prior dancing experience (at least 1 year of other partner dance)
  • The rhythm will be fast-paced, but of course adapted to the group
  • No partner necessary, as we rotate partners during class to give everyone a chance to practice
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes with a smooth sole (avoid high heels)
  • Spots are limited, so don't wait too long with the registration

While steps are not difficult, we believe that this dance requires practice and muscle memory development. This of course cannot be done without putting in some hours of dancing, so we invite and encourage you too join the practice sessions and social dancing parties after class. There is no need to register for them. We recommend you get some dinner and then meet some of the other dancers in the community and get your groove on ;)
